He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Nicholson and Nettie Nicholson (Mayes); and his siblings, Tim Norby, Tammy Nicholson and Sharon Fox.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Nicholson; his children, Shawn Nicholson (Nicole), Dawnelle Gordon and Melissa Nicholson; his grandchildren, Jesse-Brice, Dylan, Sienna, Raymond, Joseph, Gavin and Ryder; his siblings, Bonnie Nicholson-Leonard (Lyle Leanord), Terri Norby, Todd Carter (Donna), Rick Nicholson, Devin Nicholson, Tara Nicholson-Buttery (Brian Buttery) and Gloria Faso (Bob); his godchildren, Jessie Davis (Kayla), Sarah Potter (Phillip) and Alicia Nicholson; and his daughter Rachel Kroeger (Kyle). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins & close friends.
