He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Barnes, (Abrams) and Cleveland Barnes, Sr.; his stepfather Earl Lawrence; his wife Barbara L. Burton; and his daughter Tanya Barnes-Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tiffany Parker (Corey) of Davenport and Tracia Barnes of Davenport; his grandchildren, Corey, Jr., Baylee, Kendyl, Drew and Garrett; his great grandchild Taylor; and his sister Donna Watkins (Namon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and special cousins.
