Anita M. Thorndike Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita M. Thorndike of Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on June 22, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Meier and Marie Meier (Lukavsky); her siblings, Don, Dave, MaryLou and Diane; her former husband Sam Thorndike; and her grandson Zach Thorndike.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda McCoy (Brad), Penny Canning (Kevin), Brian Thorndike (Shelby) and Paul Thorndike (Rachel); her grandchildren, Kass, Christa, Rachel, Samantha, Holly, Jay, Ryan, Les, Luke, Chris, Kayla, Kelly, Louie, Mitch, Ethan, Lacey, Brianna, Kailee, Keiara, Loriee and Paul Jr. (P. J.); her great grandchildren, Austen, Skyler, Cayden, Adilyn, Mackenzie, Connor, Khole, Christian, Phoebe, Jackie, Addi, Elly, Cahri, Ryker, Charlotte (Charlie), Kade and Surya; her siblings, Judi Pieper (Jerry) and Jim Meier (Susan); and her close friend Marty Morrow.
