He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Woodruff and Edna Woodruff (Orr); and his aunt Grace Orr Henry. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Simmons of Danville; his children, John Woodruff (Tiffany) of Danville and Linda Paxston (Nate) of Durant; his grandson Adam Woodruff; and his brother Alan Woodruff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Danville Fire Department and the Des Moines County Humane Society.
