He is survived by: his parents, Arvan Zee and Betty Fopma Van Zee of Pella; his spouse Magon Burr; his children, Ty Russell, Meadow Van Zee and Amos Van Zee; his sister Julie DeZwarte (Kevin) of Kellogg; his nieces, Miriam, Hannah and Madeline; his nephew Alton; his father-in-law Rodney Burr (Kay) of Terre Haute, IL; his brother-in-law Matthew Burr (Brianne) of La Harpe, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Maddox and Jace.
Memorials have been established for Crossroads Community Church and to the Merlin Van Zee memorial fund to be used to bring awareness of mental health services in our community.
