We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2023, at the age of 85, Mary Grothe of Danville, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Urban Walz and Hazel Huppenberger Walz; her husband Robert Anthony Grothe; and her sister-in-law Judy Walz. She is survived by: her children, Andy Grothe (Cindy) of Bettendorf and Lauri Glasgow of Kansas City, KS; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Jacquez (Ezzio) of Texas, Grace Grothe of Clearwater, FL and Travis Volrath (Casey) of Princeton; her great grandchild Eastin Volrath of Princeton; and her siblings, Tony Walz of Fort Madison, Ed Walz (Sue) of Dubuque, Joe Walz (Joyce) of Denver, CO and Anne Vancil (Terry) of Perry.

A memorial has been established for Danville Fire and Rescue.
