It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl L. Garrels (Danville, Iowa), born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on September 20, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester V. Garrels and Ethel Grace Filson Garrels; his son David; his grandson Travis Hite; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Garrels and Betty Lou Kuntz.
He is survived by: his wife Doris M. McNeeley; his children, Cheryl Hite (Jerry), Kenneth Garrels (Sandy) of Danville, John Garrels (Sue) of Ft. Madison and Karen Becker (Darrell) of West Point; his daughter-in-law Cindy Garrels of Wever; and his sister Beverly Gosselink of Runnells, Iowa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
