He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Randall and Ruby Lavina Frye Cross; his wife Phyllis Pauline Heinold; and his brothers, Raymond, Milton, Wayne, Burton and Gail.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Cross (Amanda) of Danville, Jo Lynn Mehaffy (Kevin) of Danville and Tracey Beckman (Doug) of Burlington; his siblings, Paul Cross (Marsha) of Mt. Pleasant, Jack Cross (Joyce) of Middletown, Nancy Burkett of Burlington, Reva Davis (Jim) of Sperry, Becky Cutts (Steve) of Alabama, Lora Cross of California and Terri Gordy (Dick) of Danville; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Cross, Rita Cross and Dianne Hurman. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
