He is survived by: his sons, David Schmidt (Ann) of Mapleton, IA, Brian Schmidt (Lori) of Oto, IA, Russell Schmidt (Darla) of Holstein, IA and Scott Schmidt (Kelly) of Danbury, IA; his brothers, Darwin "Butch" Schmidt (Betty) of Early, IA, Kenneth Schmidt of Sioux City, IA and Darrell Schmidt of Danbury, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Kollbaum (Linda) of Bronson, IA, Roberta Houlsworth of Anthon, IA, June Gray (Tom) of Sioux City, IA and Lyla Kollbaum of Anthon, IA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor's proclamation, masks are mandatory and social distancing rules apply during the service.
