He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles McVey and Dorothy McVey (Howe); and his wife Carolyn "Chris" McVey. He is survived by: his children, Troy McVey (C. J. Santiago) of Yona, Guam and Trina Gonzales of Los Fresnos, TX; his siblings, Sharon Bennett (Gary) of Dallas, IA, Kendal McVey (Catherine) of Chicago, IL and Linda McVey of Des Moines, IA.; and his grandsons, Salvador Gonzales III and Sebastian Eugene Gonzales. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; also great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given in his memory to Habitat for Humanity.
