It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Carstensen (Dallas Center, Iowa), born in Vail, Iowa, who passed away on June 17, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbur Carstensen; her parents, Meinhard Klink and Amanda Klink; her great grandchild Brooklyne Gehrke; her niece Kelly Jo Sorrells; her siblings, Vernetta Sorrells and Ronald Klink; her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Reimer, Lois Deiver, Ralph Sorrells and Glen Deiber; her aunt Lillian Klink; and her parents-in-law, Chris and Sadie Carstensen.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan (Melonie) of Tahlequah, OK and Scott (Rebecca) of Ankeny; her grandsons, Troy Gehrke (Julie) of Adel, IA, Gary Heathcote (Sherry) of Macksburg, IA and Travis Gehrke (Allison) of Adel; her sisters, Lois Greder of Denison and Donna Northup of Aurora, NE; her sister-in-law Karen Klink of Kiron, IA; and her close friends, Mary Carlile (Ed) of Adel, Alicia Perez of Perry, IA, Amy Linn, Margaret Bryant of Truro, IA and Ericca Greubel. She is also survived by granddaughter and her family in TN; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
