With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil A. Nelson (Dakota City, Iowa), who passed away on August 21, 2019 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Noelle; his siblings, Cliff, Frank and Dorothy; and his granddaughter Kayla.
He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Ulrich; his wife Barbara Richtsmeier; his children, Denise Gonzales (Dennis) of San Antonio and Neal Nelson of Humboldt; his stepdaughters, Lori and Lisa; and his siblings, Erland Nelson (Phyllis), Selma Ehrhardt and Phyllis Vik (Carroll). He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
