He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Houston and Iola Houston (Johnson); his son Richard Aaron; his brothers, Mark, Nels and Torg; his sister-in-law Jane; and his stepdaughter Amy Kasperbauer.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Kasperbauer (Pelican) of Dakota City; his daughter Angela Houston-Savage of Denver; his stepsons, Michael Kasperbauer (Erika) of Fort Dodge, Jeremy Kasperbauer of Ankeny and Brandon Kasperbauer (Lindsay) of Ankeny; and his grandchildren, Erika Savage, Bryanne Bass (Dontay), Corey Kasperbauer, Trey Kasperbauer (Tori), Tyler Kasperbauer, Rachel Kasperbauer, Kayla Kasperbauer, Hunter Kasperbauer, Jaedon Swanson, Kiera Kasperbauer and Kellen Kasperbauer. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service (612 2nd Ave S, Humboldt, IA 50548). A prayer will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the discretion of the family.
