It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas M. Nicolaus of Cylinder, Iowa, born in Warren, Ohio, who passed away on July 15, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nicolaus and Katherine Nicolaus (Gardner); and his wife Laurel Nicolaus. He is survived by: his close friend Lynnea McCarthy of Cylinder; his son Karl Nicolaus (Sydnie Kinzle) of Ames; his brother William Nicolaus Jr. (Marilyn) of Bristolville, OH; and his brother-in-law Tom Hopkins (Michelle) of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
