He was predeceased by: his parents, Della (Andresen) and John Susie, Jr.; his wife Norma Schug; his great grandchild Marshall Williams; and his brothers, Kenney and Elmer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Kounkel (Hap) of Merrill, IA, Kathleen McCabe of Cushing, IA, Jean Willliams (Roy) of Holstein, IA and Rosemary Visser (Pete) of Garner, IA; his grandchildren, Jay Kounkel, Tyler Kounkel, Leslie McCabe, David McCabe, Tara Heeren, Jeffrey Williams, Joseph Williams, Joshua Visser, Virginia Armbrust and Jacob Visser; his sisters, Phyllis Sims (Bud) of Dension, IA and Georgine Barrier of Boise, ID; and his sister-in-law Geri Susie of Cushing, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Cherokee Regional Hospice and the Cushing Fire Department.
