He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Becker and Avis Becker (Shepperd); and his siblings, Bruce and Donna Owen. He is survived by: his siblings, Steven Becker of Cumberland, Daniel Becker of Carroll, Diane Becker of Cumberland, Lori Schmidt (Barry) of Massena and Amy Jo Stepanek (Ron) of Yale, Iowa; his brother-in-law Herschel Owen of Lawson, Missouri; his nieces and nephews, Stacey Rolenc (Stan), Lisa Owen, Adam Becker, Eric Owen, Ashley Myers (Joe), Cole Schmidt, Kelsey Schmidt, Clayton Schmidt (McKinze), Bailey Schipper (Devan) and Cody Stepanek; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Weston Rolenc (Averey), Garrett Rolenc (Anna), Rhenn Rolenc, Tessa Rolenc, Cameron Becker, Caden Myers, Dylan Myers, Braylon Schmidt, Brooklyn Schmidt, Teagan Peterson, Jace Hardisty, Lilly Schmidt, Kason Schmidt, Henry Schipper and Ava Schipper.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Atlantic (1804 E 7th St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Scott's name to the Cumberland United Methodist Church, the Cumberland Volunteer Fire Department or the family for future designation.
