She was predeceased by: her husband Eldon Earl Porter; her parents, Harry Eastman and Lois Eastman (Burkhardt); her siblings, Beverly Eastman (McCoy) and Alvin Eastman; her daughter-in-law Mary Jo Porter; and her grandson Daniel Porter.
She is survived by: her brother Eldon Dean Eastman of Dallas Center, IA; her children, Steven Porter of Cumberland, IA, David Porter (Tracy) of Honey Creek, IA, Deborah Lasher of Omaha, NE and Donna Porter of Wiota, IA.; and her grandchildren, Jon Porter of Des Moines, IA, Marie Porter of Anita, IA, Laura Porter (Leslie) of Lacey, WA, Sarah Porter (Dakota) of Omaha, NE, Chelsea Weidner (RJ) of Omaha, NE, Chase Porter of Crescent, IA, Eric Lasher (Marti) of Omaha, NE, Katie Trosdahl (Ryan) of St. Cloud, MN, Shaelin Lasher of Omaha, NE and Paul Herrera of Bellevue, NE.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home - Atlantic (1804 E 7th St, Atlantic, IA 50022). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location.
