He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond T. Ripperger and Reva A. Ripperger (Shawler); his brother Dick Ripperger; his brothers-in-law, Turner Davis and Jack Prey; and his niece Peggy Woodsmall.
He is survived by: his siblings, Kathy Davis and Dan Ripperger (Rayma) of Afton; and his nieces and nephews, Jodie Skellenger, Julia Tilson, Pamela Dickenson, Rosemary Fortner, Cynthia Hauschildt, Susan Fobes, Tami Arnold, Gail Ripperger and Alex Ripperger.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (612 N Dodge St, Afton, IA 50830). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be sent to family for veteran's causes.
