It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nelle Utterback of Creston, Iowa, who passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Milree Ethelyn Gummere and Clarence Alfred Rundberg; her husband Lewis Utterback; her son-in-law Tom Schieffer; her siblings, Edna Rundberg (Jodi), Rosemary Stansberry, Charlotte Palen, Bud Rundberg and Mary Hunter; her grandmother Ethelyn Dorman; and her great-grandparent Alvarach Gummere.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Utterback of Creston and Debbie Schieffer of Waukee; her grandchildren, Jennifer Bird (Doug) of Des Moines, Catherine Young (Kole) of Ankeny, Krista Schieffer of Fort Lauderdale and Greg Scheiffer of Ames; her great grandchildren, Hunter Bird, Bentley, Scarlett, Madison Young and Tom Schieffer; and her siblings, Alvie Reed of Creston and Ray Rundberg (Jack) of Surprise. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
