It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mara Lou Jeter of Creston, Iowa, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius "Bud" Brown and Sylvia Noreen Brown (Chandler); her son Gary Lee; her husband Oren Jeter; her brothers, Harlan Brown and Bud Brown; and her siblings-in-law, Lila Brown, Florence Dick, Butch Sobotka, Frank Ide, Basil Dick and Earl Jeter.
She is survived by: her sister Sharon Sobotka of Diagonal; her children, Kathy Francis (Steve) of Creston and Duane Jeter (Lori) of Creston; her grandchildren, Angie Waddington (Richard) of Dubuque and Tracy Francis (Kristylee) of Leadville, Colorado; her great grandchildren, Carter and Morgan Waddington of Dubuque; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Ruth Ide of Creston, Marilyn Larimor of Creston, Cheryl Paulus of Creston and Dixie Dolezal of Minneapolis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Platte Center Presbyterian Church.
