He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jones and Hazel Irene Jones (Hullinger); his wives, Maxine M. Abell and Mary; his siblings, Bob (David), David (Genora), Curt, Ken, Gene, Mary Collier (Jean), Millie Pittman, Marge Thomas (Jim), Maxine McGilvrey and Martha Jones; and his sons-in-law, Lonny Riley and Wayne Preston.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Jones (Patti) of Creston, Diane Riley of Creston, Linda Preston of Creston and Donna Criss (Skyler) of Milton, Florida; and his grandchildren, Jason Riley (Denise), Jodi Riley (Bruce Cross), Sara Snitker (Matt), Seth Preston (Jessica), Cory Preston (Bobbie), Levi Criss (Charlotte) and Josh Criss (Amanda). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (612 N Dodge St, Afton, IA 50830). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be determined.
