She was predeceased by: her parents, DeWitt Talmadge and Marjorie Lucille Haley (Hoschar); her brother-in-law Larry Pond; and her brothers, Lloyd, Boyd and Wittie Haley.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Newton of Creston, Iowa; her children, Tanya Tiernan (Jacob) of Winterset, Iowa, James Gray (Alicia) of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Geoffrey Bohn (Taylor Hastings) of Des Moines, Iowa and Corey Bohn (Kristina) of Fontanelle, Iowa; her grandchildren, James (Luna), Raijlynn (Chase), Ashton, Ricky, Memphis, Madison, Silas and Reign; her great grandchild Landen; her mother-in-law Patty Newton (Larry Johnson) of Casey, Iowa.; and her siblings, Wade Haley of Lenox and Becky Pond of Nodaway, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A reception was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center (809 W Montgomery St, Creston, IA 50801).
