She was predeceased by: her spouse Dale Lawrence Reeves; her parents, Clarence Harvey and Sophia Harvey (Orth); her sister Anita Searby; her daughter-in-law Lynne Reeves (Christensen); and her grandson David Reeves.
She is survived by: her brother Paul Harvey of Creston; and her sons, Dr. Steven Reeves (Tammy) of Creston, Alan Reeves (Jill) of Omaha, NE and Brian Reeves (Christina) of Shellsburg, IA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center - Creston (809 W Montgomery St, Creston, IA 50801). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM and at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the Zion Cemetery (3068 Zion Rd, Orient, IA 50858).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen's memory to the Gibson Memorial Library.
