We bid farewell to Warren John Plantin of Cresco, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Warren touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his son Joey Oland; his siblings, Mary Ann and Allen Lawrence; and his parents, Norman and Geraldine.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Plantin; his children, Thomas Plantin, Lori Carlson (Scott Carlson) and Steve Oland (Agnes Mocek); his granddaughters, Melissa Carlson (Darrell Sledge), Michelle Neubauer (Mitch Neubauer) and Meghan Maze; his great grandchildren, Amanii Sledge and Kenyon Sledge; and his brothers, Bruce Plantin, Kevin Plantin and Wallace Plantin.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery (715 US-52, Preston, MN 55965). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cresco VFW Hall (103 2nd Ave SE, Cresco, IA 52136).
