Richard Schmauss Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2020, at the age of 77, Richard Schmauss of Cresco, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schmauss and Bernice Schmauss (O'Brien); his brother Merlin Schmauss; and his nephew Todd Schmauss. He is survived by: his former spouse Roylene Maronde; his children, Richelle (Jess Byrnes) and Darin Schmauss (Anna); his grandchildren, Ashlyn (Gatlin Keehner), Cole, Sabrina and Jackson; his siblings, Mike Schmauss (Mary) of Denver, John Schmauss (Nancy) of Cresco, Alan Schmauss of Cresco, Iowa, Connie Whitinger (Robert) of Ankeny, Nancy Meyers (Maurice) of Rochester and Carol Stokes (Mike) of Chatfield, Minnesota; and his sister-in-law Helen Schmauss (Merlin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
