It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lidwin A McCabe of Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredoline Teresa (Remke) and Walter Bertrand Lansing; her former husband Jack; her siblings, Lawrence Lansing, Betty Welter, Esther Cobry, Rosalind Henneberry, Vi Pankow, Inez Nutt and Gladys Didesch; her siblings-in-law, Arlene Lansing, John Welter, Al Didesch, Melvin Henneberry and Michael Maloy; and her children-in-law, Phillip Pfuhl and Kim McCabe.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur; her children, Kevin McCabe (Pam), Terry McCabe, Steven McCabe, Alan McCabe (Leslie), Patty Norek (George), Jackie Schreur (Mark), Joy Pfuhl (Dan Van Hoozer) and Scott McCabe (Margaret); her sister Geri Maloy; and her brothers-in-law, Terrence Cobry, Robert Pankow and Charles Nutt. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home (404 N Elm St, Cresco, IA 52136). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Catholic Church (116 3rd St E, Cresco, IA 52136).
