With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVone L. Maland of Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on June 3, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Burnikel and Madelyn Burnikel (DeGroote); her husband Dr. Don Maland; and her brothers, George Burnikel and Ronald Burnikel.

She is survived by: her siblings, Wayne Burnikel (Sharon) of Cresco, IA, Darlene McGuire (Harold) of St. Charles, MN, Bev Fishbaugher (Dave) of Altoona, WI and Don Burnikel (Pam) of Lime Springs, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
