He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Reicks and Mary Reicks (Leferink); his wife Norma Scheidel; his daughter DaRhonda; his grandson Timothy; and his siblings, Leonard, Bernie, Rita and Edith.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Valley (Kevin) and Randy Reicks (Karry); his grandsons, Andrew Schatz (Krystal), Aaron Schatz (Melissa), Tanner Reicks (Grace Franta) and Skylar Reicks; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Lynden Schatz, Nolan and Alanna Schatz; his son-in-law Thomas Schatz; and his brother-in-law Norman Scheidel.
A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Notre Dame Catholic Church (116 3rd St E, Cresco, IA 52136). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks memorials in memory of Irven be made to Howard County Community Hospice.
