We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Gwen Peter of Cresco, Iowa, born in Decorah, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arnie; her father Lyle; her sisters, Margery Jackson (Ben) and Nancy Jackson (Frank); her stepmother Cora Hildahl Eaton; and her stepbrothers, Joseph, Casper and Alton Hildahl.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Whalen (Alan) of Kasson, MN and Steven of Cresco; her grandsons, Jeffrey Whalen (Mary), Michael Whalen (Bianca) of Kasson and Thomas Whalen (Allison) of Kasson; her great grandchildren, Cooper, Audrey Whalen, Rainn, Isaiah, Ryleigh Whalen, Joseph, Benjamin and Phillip Whalen; and her stepsiblings, Rose Feenstra (Dick), Janice Salazar, Stanley and Arlo Hildahl. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Howard County Community Hospice or the Cresco United Methodist Church in her name.
