He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Caffrey and Wilma Caffrey (Schultz); and his parents-in-law, Herbert and Dorothy Peter. He is survived by: his wife Cherri Caffrey of Cresco; his son Daniel "Dano" Caffrey (Jaime) of Charles City, IA; his grandsons, Brayden and Bryce; his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Caffrey of Cresco; his siblings, Kathy Abrams (Ken) of Ocala, FL, John Caffrey (Pat) of Oakton, VA, Linda Moudry (Bruce) of Evansdale, IA, Bill Caffrey of Cresco, Deb Caffrey of Springfield, IL and Mike Caffrey (Louie Gjere) of Cresco; and his siblings-in-law, Char Ferrie (Bill) of Spring Valley, MN and Jim Peter (Pam Frana) of Cresco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (305 2nd Ave W, Cresco, IA 52136). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
