He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Reicks and Mary Reicks (Baumler); his wife Katy; his sons, Mike and Bill; his son-in-law Mark Ahern; his grandsons, Scott and John; his great great grandchild Zeva; his siblings, Rufina Lickteig (Francis), Tarsilla Hyberger (Ray), Cleo Reicks (Catherine), Nestor Reicks (Dolly), Del Reicks (Monica) and Geneva Houdek (Lyle); his parents-in-law, Alvin and Ilene Christianson; and his brother-in-law Tom Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Mathews (Bernie) of New Hampton, IA, Pat Ahern of Cresco, Barb Schmauss (Dave) of Eagle Grove, IA, Dave Reicks (Faye Kozelka) of Decorah, IA, Lori Reicks (Dave Goodell) of Williamsburg, IA and Dean Reicks of Cresco; his daughters-in-law, Sharon Reicks (Bob Cox) of New Hampton, IA and Debbie Reicks of Kendallville, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Carter of Cedar Falls, IA and Ronald Christianson. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren.
