He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Goldsworthy; his parents, Tony Slifka and Ella Slifka; his parents-in-law, Cecil and Lola Goldsworthy; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Laverne Zobeck; his brother Jerry; his siblings-in-law, Shirlee Slifka, Donald Gooder and Ronald Roberts; and his daughter-in-law Deb Slifka.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Slifka (Shari) of Riverdale, Rick Slifka (Rachel) of Cresco, Jeff Slifka (Beth) of Cresco and Kris Post (Steve) of Clear Lake; his grandchildren, David Slifka (Kristi) of Vadnais Heights, MN, Andrew Slifka (Rachel), Emma Trizzino (Nick) of Bettendorf, Claire Marotta (Zach) of Bettendorf, Samantha Williams (Chris) of Ankeny, Sonni Ricklefs (Tyler) of Des Moines, Elle Kaiser (Kevin) of San Franscico, CA and Paige Kaiser (MyKayla) of New York City, NY.; his great grandchildren, James, Luca Slifka and Benjamin Slifka; his great-grandparents, Cole, Tucker Trizzino, Adalynn, Archer, Annistyn Marotta, Maverick, Haley Williams, Hudson and Chloe Ricklefs; his sisters, Rosie Gooder and Yvonne Roberts; his siblings-in-law, Howard Goldsworthy (Jane), Lynn Goldsworthy (Robin) and Linda Lienhard (Lindsay); and also Caden. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery or Howard County Community Hospice.
