She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Kapler and Thekla Kapler (Holthaus); her husband Victor Polashek; and her siblings, Robert Kapler, Herman Kapler (Ike) and Marie Mackenburg.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Polashek of Mason City and Carrie Kuhn (Duane) of Forest City, Iowa; her grandsons, Justin Kuhn of Seattle and Andrew Kuhn; her sisters, Corrine Moudry of Cresco and Virginia Powers of Des Moines, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Bootie Kapler of Cresco and Josephine Rutar of Albuquerque. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
