He was predeceased by: his sister Jenifer; and his grandparents, Edward, Leona Kleitsch and Eugene Ortner. He is survived by: his parents, Stephen Ortner and Monica Ortner (Kleitsch); his siblings, Jason, Carrie (Tom) and Tim (Becca); his brother-in-law Rick; and his grandmother Marcie Ortner. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

I'm sure it is heart wrenching to suffer such a loss. Our families are perhaps connected. We are descendent from Joseph Ortner's family who settled in Dunkerton, IA in the 1870's.
