He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Thompson and Mabel Thompson (McElhiney); his wife Ingibjorg Thompson (Gudmundsdottir); and his siblings, Rose Marie Thompson, Susan Irene Thompson and Frank Lee Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Monda (Kevin Kohles), Iris Belt, Erik Thompson and Jessica (Dennis Waldman); and his siblings, Ted (Barb), Floyd (Tess), Pat, Lyman (Wendy Thompson) and Hazel Peterson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
