He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Arnold Gillespie and Gordon Gillespie; his siblings, Connie, Sandra and Daris; his daughter Sherry English; his daughter-in-law Joni Gillespie; his stepmother Ethel Gillespie; and his sister-in-law Dee Duer.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Gillespie of Council Bluffs; his children, Shelley Richanbach (Dave) of Hillsborough, CA and Shane of Omaha; his sisters, Sharon Thompson and Micaela McLean of Kingston, WA; and his grandchildren, Will Richanbach, Rachel Cyr (Marc), David Richanbach (Emma), Angela Molini (Chris) and Jennifer Wagner (Micah). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church (14955 Somerset Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
