He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Doiel and Colleen Doiel Sr. (Fuller); his wife Sandra Doiel; his sons, Paul "Greg" Doiel and Patrick Doiel; his sister Marjory "Sue" Wells; his brother-in-law Donald Flynn; and his nephew Mike Flynn.
He is survived by: his children, Shelly Kelley (Mike) and Cindy Schulze (P. J.); his sister-in-law Pat Flynn; and his grandchildren, Tessa, Ashley, Kerry, Spencer, Dwayne, Victoria, Kyle and Nathan. He is also survived by great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
