Sylvia Reekers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sylvia Reekers of Council Bluffs, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Sylvia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sylvia's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Rasmussen and Herta Rasmussen (Paul); and her husband Lynn Reekers. She is survived by: her daughters, Renee Erbes (Chris), Melinda Shaver (Dan) and Holly Reekers; her grandchildren, Michaela Geyer (David) and Trent Bilello; her great grandchildren, Joseph Geyer and Christopher Geyer; and her siblings, Duane Rasmussen of Crosby, MN and Arlene Warnicke of Kalamazoo, MI. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
