She is survived by: her daughter Amanda Jungman of Council Bluffs; her granddaughter Mia of Council Bluffs; her parents, Susan Jungman of Council Bluffs and Lester Dean Jungman (Phebe) of Omaha; her stepson Addam Schimmer (Sara); her brother Chad Jungman of Bellevue; her nephew Kellen Jungman of LaVista, NE.; and her siblings-in-law, Randy Richardson (Mary) of Denison, IA and Shelly Rose (Johnny) of Denison, IA.. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shala lost her brave battle with pulmonary fibrosis, caused by Covid on March 13, 2025.
