He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Nielsen and Minnie Nielsen (Rowe); his brother Elvin Nielsen (LeRoy); and his nephew Todd Nielsen. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Nielsen (Palmer); his nephew Daniel; and his siblings, Dennis, Charlie Nielsen of Council Bluffs and Dr. Karen Nielsen of Corpus Christi, Texas.. He is also survived by children, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Bob would have loved to know folks donated to animal shelters or nature centers, adopted strays, or just planted trees in his memory.
