As Robert departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Robert. Though Robert may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vanecek and Grace Vanecek (Soar). He is survived by: his wife Connie Vanecek; his sons, Tim Vanecek (Jen) and Troy Vanecek (Jillian); his grandchildren, Tony Vanecek, Joely Vanecek and Charlie Vanecek; and his siblings, Charles Vanecek (late Betty), Judy Lake (late Vernon) and Jim Vanecek (Sue). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
