He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Patten and Hildegard Patten (Dunsinger); and his sister Patricia D. Stewart (Patten). He is survived by: his wife Trudy Patten; his sons, Aaron of Council Bluffs and Joe Patten of Council Bluffs; his brothers, John Patten of Council Bluffs and Mike Patten of Omaha; and his stepchildren, Tracey Calabretto (Brian) of Carter Lake, Iowa, Richard Bryant of Omaha and Hillard Nero (Araceli) of Bennington, Nebraska. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
