Ricky R. Reicks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky R. Reicks of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Reicks and Rita Reicks (Oswald); his brother Robert; and his sisters-in-law, Luann Reicks and Kathy Reicks.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Reicks of Lincoln, NE and Natalei Reicks (Tommy Adams) of Council Bluffs; and his siblings, Joleen Schultz (Earl) of Charter Oak, IA, Gary Reicks of Lake City, IA, Tom Reicks (Mary) of Des Moines, IA, Judy Lengemann (Dale) of Coon Rapids, IA, Mike Reicks (Kris) of Council Bluffs, Sister Linda Reicks of Anamosa, IA, Mary Kay Patten (Scott) of Omaha and Mark Reicks of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
He was a member of the Electrical Workers Union for many years, then helped build the Mohm's Place ministries and served numerous roles, including Director of Operations, with what eventually became known as New Visions Homeless Services until illness and the pandemic forced his retirement in 2020.
