She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Spurr and Elizabeth Spurr (Haxton); her daughter Jane; her husband Raymond Byers; and her siblings, Margaret, Jean, Thomas, Alexander, Norman and Raymond.
She is survived by: her family Raymond; her children, Melinda Dye of Avon, IN, Becky Wise (Allen) of Blue Springs, MO, Alan Byers (Sandy) of Council Bluffs, IA and Philip Byers (Star) of Clarinda, IA; and her son-in-law Rodney Steeve of Clarinda, IA. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
