He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur G. Evans and Isabelle L. Evans (Martens); and his brother Jim Evans. He is survived by: his wife Geri Evans; his children, Scott Evans (Traci), Ellie and Melissa Kellum (Nathan); his grandchildren, Henley, Colton and Liam; his sons, Nathan Evans and Kent; his grandchild Greyson; and his sister Roxanne.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to First Church of the Nazarene, Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
