He was predeceased by: his parents, Monise E. Lewis and Mildred Lewis (Iseminger); his siblings, William Lewis, Ralph Lewis, Dorothy Dominick and Adabelle "Granny" Dillehay; his children, Debrha Dixon, Patricia Dixon Boner, Rose Dixon and William Dixon; and his great grandchild Nikolas Sorick.
He is survived by: his wife Joan E.; and his sons, Shane Lewis and Jerry Dixon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; niece and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
