He was predeceased by: his father David Darling; and his niece Lisa Darling. He is survived by: his mother Norma Darling (Rechtenbach); his siblings, Darrell Darling (Patty), Cindy Wagner (Jerry) and Greg Darling (Sandi); and his nieces and nephews, Renee Maaske (Steve), Daniel Darling (Joslyn), David Darling (Justis), Kendra Zellers (Josh), Andrea Noble (Shane), Machaela Winger (Will), Jenna Wagner, Brian Darling, Denise Darling and Rachel Darling. He is also survived by 13 great-nieces and nephews.
