Michael B. Berner Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2025, at the age of 65, Michael B. Berner of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Charles R. Berner. He is survived by: his mother Joan Berner (Edwards) of Council Bluffs; his siblings, Charles Berner of Council Bluffs, Terry Berner of Chicago, Katie Backhaus (Chris) of Omaha, Amy Berner of Chicago and Andy Berner of Council Bluffs; his nieces and nephews, Lisa Wells, Erin Backhaus, Eric Berner, Conor Backhaus, Colin Backhaus and Spencer Berner; his great-nephew Kitt; his great-niece Maisie; and his uncles, Robert Berner (Cecilia) and Denny Berner (Ruth) of Minden, Iowa. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (4 Valley View Dr, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church or St. Albert Schools.
