Maxine L. Bates Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine L. Bates of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on November 17, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Maxine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Maxine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Bates; and her son-in-law Bob Wicks. She is survived by: her children, Brad Bates (Kim) of Fort Myers, FL and Dee; her grandchildren, Tyson Wicks (Kristin) of Council Bluffs, IA, Kale Wicks (Brandy) of Treynor, IA, Kira Bates of Chevy Chase, MD and Brittany Watts (Brandon) of Folsom, CA; and her sister Violet Van Wyck (Orville) of Newton, IA. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
