It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Godbout of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ellen Godbout to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Williams and Lucille Williams (Mandele); her grandson Steven Godbout; and her brothers, John Williams and Clifford "Buzz" Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Ron Godbout of Council Bluffs, IA; her sons, Jeff Godbout (Betty Cooper) and Mike Godbout (Lanesa) of Glenwood, IA; her grandchildren, Brenden Godbout and Casey Godbout of Glenwood, IA; her sons, Denae Statzer (Alec Mass) of New Castle, CO and Tevin Statzer of Broadus, MT; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Godbout (Kay) of Abilene, TX, Charlotte Williams of Buffalo, MO and Mary Jo Berges of Manhattan, KS. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LeRette Funeral Chapel, Inc. (1995 G Ave, Red Oak, IA 51566). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Red Oak Presbyterian Church (511 E Coolbaugh St, Red Oak, IA 51566).
Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Presbyterian Church.
